Introduction to Leslie Jermyn, QUFA's New Executive Director

Dear QUFA Members,

I am delighted to introduce you to my successor at the helm of the Association, Leslie Jermyn, QUFA's new Executive Director who arrived yesterday. During the transition period to my retirement at the end of the 2013-2014 academic year, I will continue to serve QUFA on a part time basis. I look forward to continuing to work with you to support QUFA and its membership. Leslie will introduce herself below and you will have an opportunity to welcome her properly when our regular QUFA meetings resume in the fall.

I am honoured and delighted to join QUFA staff as the Executive Director. Since I got involved with the union representing Contract Academics at the University of Toronto in 2009, I have been passionate about the important work academic associations do in protecting members' rights and defending the quality of education. I really look forward to learning about Queen's and QUFA, and getting to know you.
