Seeking One Term Adjunct & One Continuing Adjunct Representative to Serve on QUFA Council

August 29, 2013

The Queen's University Faculty Association is Seeking One Term Adjunct and One Continuing Adjunct to Serve on its Council of Representatives starting in September 2013:

Are you interested in improving the terms and conditions of employment for Adjuncts at Queen's and meeting others committed to this goal? Is so, volunteer to be a Representative to QUFA Council. You will meet both adjunct and regular faculty from academic units across campus and participate in discussions about fairness and equity, rights and responsibilities of faculty, and academic and budgetary issues that impact our teaching and working at Queen's.

QUFA Council plays an important role in guiding the direction of the Faculty Association and we need full representation from Adjunct Members to do this well.

QUFA's Council of Representatives meets once a month from 3 - 5 pm in the afternoons. The 2013 Fall Term Meetings are scheduled as follows:

Council of Representatives - All Meetings @ 3 - 5 pm

  • Thursday, September 19 - West Lake View Room, University Club
  • Wednesday, October 16 - Room 415, Chemistry Building
  • Tuesday, November 19 - Room 415, Chemistry Building
  • Monday, December 9 - Room 415, Chemistry Building

In the Winter/Spring there are meetings from January - May. The position of Term or Adjunct Representative is for two years. Not every Councillor is able to attend all scheduled meetings, so please do not disqualify yourself from inquiring or volunteering immediately if you are unable to be at all 4 Fall Council meetings.

If you'd like to volunteer or want more information, please contact by email or phone:
